Flexitransport – AMTU
Sparsity is collaborating with “Associació de municipis per la Mobilitat i el Transport Urbà” (AMTU), a group of cities, towns and villages working together to improve the mobility and the public transport around Catalunya. To facilitate more sustainable and effective transport to users, a versatile and user-friendly app has been developed (FLEXITRANSPORT).

Sparsity is participating in that project by providing the sophisticated algorithms that optimize the route for efficiency, assess the potential for shared trips with other users, and assign the most suitable vehicle based on specific needs such as those for persons with reduced mobility (PRM) and additional companions.
This seamless integration of technology and transport ensures a reliable and tailored travel experience, enhancing convenience and accessibility for all users.
Optimization algorithm
An optimization algorithm is a computational tool designed to quickly identify the optimal solution to a specific problem while operating within defined constraints.
Leveraging our expertise in this area, we specialize in providing custom solutions for any route planning challenge, offering recommendations to achieve the most efficient results.
The optimizer is hosted in the cloud, allowing clients to access it as often as needed without requiring modifications to their current infrastructure.
We provide a straightforward method for using our optimizer through an accessible interface, such as a plugin. This interface facilitates seamless data input and retrieval, and delivers optimal results. It simplifies the integration of our optimizer into client systems, enabling efficient use without requiring technical expertise.
