Not every piece of work fits a product. Some of it is an algorithm for a constraint nobody else has, or a system that has to slot into infrastructure already running. These are the projects that began as a specific question from a specific customer.

Delivered into what you already run, usually as a service or a plugin, so adopting it does not mean changing your infrastructure first.
Research that ships. A good deal of this work started in EU-funded consortia and ended up as software people use daily.

Sparsity Technologies supported a smart home energy monitoring company to help transform raw electricity consumption data (collected second by second from thousands of households) into insights that actually help people understand and reduce their energy use.
